Prayer Positions
This is a worship/prayer idea that encourages worshipers to use their body in their praise. It also encourages worshipers to share ideas with each other. It is good to use in the middle of a song service to give participants a chance to reflect and praise God with more than just songs, but with their whole bodies.

These three "stations" can be used to add creative content to a worship gathering without being the whole focus. They all three focus on how our great God is faithful.
-
Drawing Prayer Confidence
God, the one true God, the creator of the universe and the sustainer of all things, wants to know us. He wants to interact with us. And we can go to him confidently in prayer not because of our merit, but because He has chosen to reach out to us. This art prayer activity is designed to help students see this truth.

God is, God has done, God please do...
This is a worship experience we used one night when our band wasn't able to lead us. It uses balloons for a fun worship expression, and drawing and journaling for a more personal expression of worship. It would work very well for the start of a planning meeting or retreat as it leads specifically to a time of supplication. The idea is that we come to God and praise Him for who He is for what He has done and then we make our requests known to Him. -
Gentle Whisper Reflection
Our world is full of noise and distractions. Many times our church gathering just add to that noise. From time to time we need to stop the noise and come before God in silence. This simple activity uses Elijah's encounter with God from 1 Kings 19 as an opening to a time of silent worship. -
Create Your Own Psalm
This is a simple outline that your participants can use as a way of creating their own psalm of praise. I also talk about how the idea worked at my church and how I also used it as a corporate worship experience.

Money or the Mob Bible Trivia
I love setting up mock game shows with my church. It is a fun way to get together and it celebrates some people in your church who might no always get attention (like the little old ladies who know lots about the Bible). At Calvary we set up a game show similar to 1 vs 100, but with Bible trivia. I have repackaged what we used into a couple of .pdf's that you can use in your church. Have fun.<
