Confessions of an Average Youth Minister

Digital Juice TV

I have been holding off writing something new because I really wanted to write about my video shoot I did Sunday. I have a picture of it and so I wanted to include it, but I can’t seem to think about moving the picture from my computer to my camera. So I will talk about that whenever I remember, but for now check out Digital Juice Television. It is a great thing for youth pastors or others who like me know nothing about making videos, but who seem to need to make one every other week. The thing that helped me the most was the stuff about lighting. I have always wondered why my shots never quite look "professional" and I found that much of that has to do with lighting. When I get the picture here I will talk about my temporary "studio" I built, but until then check out these great shows.

I don't have all of the answers and some weeks it feels like I don't have any of the answers. I often find a good word picture or object lesson and build the lesson off of that instead of the other way around. I don't always pray as much as I should and I never study as much as I should. But I love students ministry. I love watching teenagers as they serve God. I love to see them worship and forget about themselves for a while. I love seeing someone wake up to the love of God if only for a little while. I love to see them out serving their community and sharing the love of Christ with others. I love to be a part of their lives and I love seeing the world through their eyes. I am an average youth minister.
