I don't have all of the answers and some weeks it feels like I don't have any of the answers. I often find a good word picture or object lesson and build the lesson off of that instead of the other way around. I don't always pray as much as I should and I never study as much as I should.
But I love students ministry. I love watching teenagers as they serve God. I love to see them worship and forget about themselves for a while. I love seeing someone wake up to the love of God if only for a little while. I love to see them out serving their community and sharing the love of Christ with others. I love to be a part of their lives and I love seeing the world through their eyes. I am an average youth minister.

Neat video, Shane! Thanks for sharing! I’d suggest that you do it with your youth group, but I imagine that most of them are WAY too young to even remember it or to have played it.
Really good video. I would suggest that you do it with your youth group, because you have more of a, how can I say it,…..Mario look to you than the guy in the video. However, saying something like that would have your wife banning me from commenting on your blog, so I won’t do it.
I must say, though, that if you were to do this skit with your youth, you’d have to modify the ending. The whole rescuing-the-princess theme kinda conflicts with your not just damsels in distress but powerful and wonderful and strong message of your "God Girls" lessons.
Keep up the good work, and explain to the Mrs. that I’m only kidding. It’s the whole make fun of other people to overlook your own insecurities thing.

Princess Peach finally got her own game where she gets to "rescue" the boys so maybe we could do a level from that. As for me looking like the famous plumber I don’t think I could do the whole run and jump thing for that long.
I was actually watching the video with the entire office, and we all agreed how burnt we would be WAY before the end of it. He apparently ate his Wheaties.
