There are some times when it is really fun to be a youth pastor. Most of these involve playing with youth in some way, but tonight was my second favorite youth pastor activity playing with technology. I finally got some time to hook up our amp and play with all of our cool lights. I cranked David Crowder to the point that my ears hurt and by the light of a flashlight learned how to program the chase and scenes on my little Elation light board. It was very cool. Up to this point I have just been using the colored lights to light the stage, but I was limiting myself. I see now that I can use them to chase and flash and do a pretty cool light show for under $2000. Anyway, I just had fun today and thought I would share.
